A beautiful day for a trip to the park...

Your Daddy was off of work today, so we decided to take you to the park. You're really in to running and kicking around the soccer ball, so Daddy thought you'd enjoy the park. He was right...you had a blast!

Your Grandpa Gonzalez would be so happy to watch you kick around a ball. He LOVED soccer and I always wish I had been alive when he played professional soccer. He was so sad when I decided it wasn't the sport for me. I wish I would have stuck with it. I think I didn't just because he wanted me to so much. Looking back, that wasn't very smart. I've always wondered if the super soccer skills were genetic...haha! We'll see if any of those soccer genes made their way down to you ;)

You thought it was so cool that I could kick the ball so far! ha!

I was running backwards and telling you to pick your knees up. It was so cute watching you try...
Playing "soca ball" with Daddy!

KICK!
This is the face I got when I told you to smile. Silly girl!

Catch, Mama!

We had a great day with you today! I hope you enjoyed it as much as we think you did!!

Visiting the museum with Nannie & friends

On Friday we had a playdate at the museum. Since Nannie is retired she actually got to go with us. It was so nice to have her there. She enjoys watching you explore and learn new things and you have so much fun dragging her around and telling her what to do! haha!

Milking the cow with Nannie

Giving kisses to the cow before we left the "farm"...
On your mark. Get set. GO!!! (You and Lucy playing around)
Playing with Nannie :)
I love you Nannie!

You and Mosely playing at the water table. You LOVE this area when we go to the museum!! and I basically have to drag you out of this room crying when it's time to leave!! haha!

Sesame Street

You've really started to like the Sesame Street characters. You have a bunch of books with them in it and I have some of their podcast on your iTouch. When we're out and you see one of the characters in a store you go crazy. It's pretty funny. I love how you say their names. I don't know if I can write them as funny as you say them, but I'll give it a shot...

Elmo: Al-mo
Cookie Monster: Cookie Mom-mom
Big Bird: Bee Bird
Oscar: Os-key-er
Ernie: Errrrr-nie
Burt and Abby you say like normal, so they're no fun! haha!

(and while we're talking characters... You call both Mickey & Minnie Mouse - Me Mouse)

Hook 'em Horns

Tonight is the National Championship football game... Texas vs Alabama! As always you were dressed in your Longhorn gear to route them on in style :)

Nannie came over, so we could go to lunch and go shopping. It was funny how much attention you got today. I pretty much heard 2 comments ALL.DAY.LONG. 1) What a cute little Longhorn... I love her outfit. OR 2) She almost makes me like the Longhorns. Me and Nannie couldn't stop laughing.

Sadly I forgot my camera today, so you'll have to deal with cell phone pictures :)

Our Christmas wreath which I refused to take down before tonight's game!!

Hanging out at Mooyah showing off your outfit :)

Your first carousel ride on a horsey...

This is when the horse first moved up. You looked down wondering what in the heck was going on. Hee hee!

You had so much fun on it! When the carousel stopped you started doing the more sign like a crazy lady and saying MORE over and over again. When I told you we had to leave you turned back to the carousels and said "Bye bye horseys. Lova you!" :)

We did some shopping and then stopped for coffee and a snack for you. You and Nannie did your most favorite thing ever....Patty Cake! You're always the one to initiate this "game". You were in your stroller and we kept hearing you say "Mommy, Daddy, Nannie, YAY". That's one of the ways you like to end the song.

You're "patting it" in this picture :)
YAY!

We had a great day with you today my little Longhorn. I hope all your team spirit brings the Longhorns a win tonight!!

New Years day at Nana & Papa's

We went over to Nana & Papa's house today for our annual New Years tradition...cabbage rolls and sauerkraut. Aunt Phyllis, Melissa, and Carlos are in town visiting from California, so it was nice to have a little more family at this years even. Nana and Aunt Phyllis made the rolls on Thursday, so they were ready to go yesterday. We had a great day visiting with everyone. You absolutely love to spend time with your Nana & Papa. You always squeal when Papa comes out to meet you at the truck!

Aunt Phyllis, Aunt Renee, Nana, & Melissa

You and Papa outside feeding the animals. This is your favorite thing to do lately. The minute you walk in their house you ask Papa to go outside.

Eating your first cabbage roll ever. I had to doctor yours up a bit. I added some mashed potatoes and hummus, but at least you ate one. That made your Nana happy since our family has been eating these every New Years since she was young.

You had so much fun with Sissy & Landry. You're finally saying Sissy instead of just Sis. That makes Lauren very happy. hee hee! We all couldn't stop laughing with how you were saying Landry's name. It sounded sort of like Dandy ;)

They wanted to take you for a walk later in the evening, but it was really cold. We decided to try and bundle you up as best as possible. We raided Nana's closet and sent you off ;)

Happy New Years

Well, it's a new year and with that new year I vow to blog more often. In fact, it's my New Years Resolution. I tend to do better when I set goals, so I figured it would be a great resolution. I have not even started Mackenzie's scrapbook, so this might be all she gets. If that's the case I better get on it.

Here's to a great 2010!
