Putting you to work already...

Every night when Grandma gets home from work we go to dinner and then she has to come back to the room and keep working. You love to sit up with her and watch her work. She let you sit on her lap and you were so taken in by the laptop! You are going to be just like your Daddy - glued to the computer...haha!

Helping Grandma with the BDR's...

Discussing all the changes that are being made that Grandma needs to keep up with...haha!
Yeah! She's done for the night and can spend some time with you :)

It's swim time...

Man do you love the water! Grandma went and got you a raft, so you could go in the pool while we were in Palm Springs (and hopefully while we're here at the hotel while we wait for Grandma to work during the day). Mommy also let you wear your bathing suit that your Auntie Brandy bought you. Normally you're in your wet suit bathing suit because it covers more of your skin, but it was later in the day and the sun was going down. I figured it was a perfect time to show off such a cute suit :)

You and Grandma

You and Mommy before we got in the pool

Hanging out in the pool with Uncle Lee & Aunt Barb

After a couple hours out at the pool you were exhausted. Grandma, Auntie, & Uncle weren't ready to go in the house yet, so I just let you sleep in my arms!

And just because I like this picture...

Here's a good one of your Grandma, Aunt Barb, & Uncle Lee

You were so tired by the time I got you home this is how you fell asleep. We all got a good laugh out of it ;)

Meeting your family...

We drove in to Glendale Sunday morning from Palm Springs to go to the yearly fashion show at the Elks Lodge. Your Aunt Barb and Cousin Kelli were both in the show. You got to meet quite a few of your family members (all of them are Uncle Lee & Aunt Barb's children). I'm probably forgetting someone, but you met Steve, Becky, and their little girl Arianna (she's 2 mo's younger then you and cute as can be!), Kelli, Sean, & Monique.

Here you are in your first long distance car ride. It took us about 2 hrs to get there and you did great in the car. At the end you started to get pretty bored, so I pulled out all of your toys and started playing with you :)

Cousin Monique thought you were the cutest little thing and had fun talking to you. She was keeping an eye on you when I went to the bathroom. You started to fuss and she didn't know how to get your out of your chair, so she just picked you up off the floor and stuck you on her lap. I laughed so hard when I walked back in and saw that. She's such a character!

You, Grandma, and Cousin Becky (Steven's wife)

You and Arianna (she's exactly 2 mo's younger then you!) were having fun sitting together. I played with you guys both to keep you quiet during the fashion show. After the fashion show Arianna decided to throw up on me and then a little while later she peed on me. I guess she liked your Mommy...haha!!

We were gone for a good portion of the day, so taking a nap didn't work out too well for you. Eventually you got so tired you passed out in my arms and Arianna was nice enough to let you sleep in her stroller. You look so peaceful!

And here's my favorite picture of the day. I LOVE IT! Thank you Auntie Brandy for getting this adorable outfit :)

We're in California!

Well you are on your first vacation! You have been such an amazing little girl. I don't know how I've been so lucky!!
I have a few days to catch up on with this trip, so we're starting with Saturday the 19th. I'll tell you all about the other days some other time :)

You were in your Beco hanging out and as happy as can be at the airport. When we got on the plane I had Grandma hold you for a minute, so I could get things situated. You were so comfy and you didn't want to come out of your Beco.

You were an absolute angel on the plane. The people behind us saw you after the flight and said they had no idea a baby was sitting in front of them. You just ate or slept for most of the trip.

We finally made it to Palm Springs and got you to Auntie Barb and Uncle Lee's house. They were so excited to meet their newest Great Niece. Here you are with your Auntie :)
Grandma bought you a new chair for the trip, so you'd have somewhere to sit while we're out here. You are one spoiled little girl! You love this new chair. You beat the heck out of the giraffe and elephants! It's so funny to watch!! We night need to get you one of these when we get back to TX since you like it so much.

I'm getting nervous!

We're going on our first vacation and I've been trying to get packed for it. It's definitely not easy to pack for 9 days in one suitcase (I'm worried about having too much stuff since I have to carry you and I'll also have your stroller and carseat)!! I don't know what to pack for you. Will it stay warm in Cali like it has been? Will it get cool at night or stay warm? Will it rain? Too many questions for me to process right now...haha! I think I have a good idea of what I need to take for you, but I'm worried I'm going to get there and realize I forgot a bunch of stuff I need! All else fails and me and Grandma will just have to go shopping for you :)
I hope you do well on the plane. I think that's what I'm the most nervous about. My biggest fear is that you'll scream through the whole flight. Lord oh Lord...please don't do that to me!
Your Auntie Brandy is so happy that you are coming to visit. I can't wait for her to see how much you've grown in the last 2 months. She is going to be shocked when she sees you.
This week has been pretty uneventful, but you did get to see your buddy Luc twice! He's healing from his surgery and looks as cute as ever.

Here are some other cute pictures of you that I've taken this week...
Playing in the blanket on the couch! You're such a silly girl :)

Showing off your new dress from Daddy's boss! It looked so adorable on you!!

Hanging out with Cousin Lauren waiting for Auntie Nea Nea to come over! Your Uncle John & Aunt Shanda got you this outfit and I love it on you. The little shorts have ruffles on the butt :)

Your 4 month doctors appointment

You had your appointment with Dr. G today. You are growing big and strong and he gave you an A+ for your Physical Exam and Development (he gives out report cards at every well visit appointment!). You are now in the 90-95th percentile in your height (at your 2 month appointment you were in the 75th percentile). You've grown 3 inches since your 2 month appointment and you're now measuring 25.3 inches! Maybe you won't be a little shorty like your Mommy! Dr. G said if you stay at or above the 75th percentile you will be at least 5ft 6in when you're older. How cool would that be?!?

You only got one vaccine today - Pneumococcal Conjugate (PCV). It's your least favorite of all the shots, so I make sure you get this one all by itself. You get very fussy for some reason with this shot and you get a low grade fever. So...today hasn't been too fun for you. You've done a lot of crying and sleeping. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

You're 4 months old!

You turned 4 months old yesterday and we seriously can't believe it! It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant with you counting the days until you could be delivered safely! You are growing so fast my sweet girl. You've started doing so many new things in the last 1-2 weeks. You're now trying to sit up when we put you in your chair or car seat. You've started to finally grow some more hair. You rolled over (just once, but you did it!). You're laughing now and it's cute as ever. You love it when Mommy holds you upside down (don't worry - I don't do it for long..haha) and you just laugh and laugh! It makes me and Daddy laugh so hard. It really is the sweetest sound ever! You're figuring out your fingers and you love to chew on them. You're teething - which isn't fun - but it is what it is! You have brought so much joy to our lives and we can't wait to watch you as you grow!!!

We started taking pictures of you next to this Cabbage Patch doll when you were born. Here's a few from the last 4 months to show you how much you've grown!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIDDO!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

It's all about the girls!

The last time we had the girl photo shoot you were not alive, so while your Aunt and Cousin were in town we decided we needed to take another one. The kids (you included) all grow up so fast. I feel like every time I blink your cousins have aged another 5 yrs! Lauren is now 14 and Sophia is 5 (6 in October). Before I know it you'll be 5, so I want to document your days, so I can't ever forget them!!

We had a blast taking these pictures and so many of them turned out SO CUTE! You had no clue what was going on, so you weren't cooperating with the camera. You were just doing your own thing as usual! Thankfully you looked at the camera every once in a while. Other then that we'll just have to deal with the ones where you're looking the wrong way :)

Your Dad mentioned something today that I had never thought of. Grandma has 3 girls. Her 3 girls each have 1 girl. Mommy is so happy you're a little girl! We're going to have so much fun!!

Here are some pictures from the day...

Grandma, Aunt Jeanmarie, Aunt Renee, Cousin Lauren & Sophia, you, & Mommy

My other 2 favorite girls!

This is probably one of my favorites of you and your cousins!

Your first trip to the zoo...

We went to the Fort Worth Zoo on Sunday with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Jeanmarie, Sophia, and of course your Mommy and Daddy! You enjoyed your new stroller since you can see whoever is pushing you. It's amazing what a difference that makes for you! That made the day go a lot smoother!

It was really hot, but there was a lot of shade so it helped. We were there for about 5 hours and we were all surprised you cooperated with us for so long. You slept a lot in your stroller, so we're looking forward to taking you back when you're older. Hopefully then you'll be able to enjoy all the animals.

You and Sophia had on matching outfits, that Grandma bought you, and you looked so cute. I wish she lived closer, so you could dress alike more often!

We kept you cool through the day by pouring cold water on this washcloth and putting it on your head. You really seemed to like your ducky doo-rag :)

Your silly cousin acting like a monkey!

Mesmerized... (who wouldn't be?!?)

Your first 4th of July!

Your Dad and I were so excited for this day to come. We both LOVE 4th of July and we wondered how you would like the big day. You had so many 4th of July outfits that I tried to put you in one every day that week leading up to the 4th. For the big day I saved the outfit your Grandma bought for you. It was the first Red, White, & Blue outfit you got so to me it was the special one. You looked so cute in it, so it was a great choice!

At Grandma & Grandpa's house getting ready for the big day!

You, Grandma, & Sophia (you guys are so darn cute!)

After lunch we went shopping and then met up with Aunt Renee and Lauren in McKinney to watch the fireworks. What can I say? You had an absolute blast!! Your Dad and I were worried about you and wondered how you would do with the loud fireworks. They didn't even phase you. You absolutely LOVED them and didn't want them to end. You actually cried when they were over! Your Dad was so happy that you liked the fireworks. He can't wait to take you to see them next year!!!

You and your Daddy watching something exciting, but I have no idea what!

You, Lauren, and Sophia! My 3 favorite girls!!

This is you watching the fireworks. It was hard to get both you and the fireworks in one shot, but I tried my best :)

Happy 4th of July sweet baby girl! We're so happy you enjoyed your big day!!!

Our trip to the aquarium...

Since the family is in town we've been going to a lot of fun places.

First was the Dallas World Aquarium. We had so much fun! You got to see all kinds of fishies, sharks, stingrays, and your most favorite...an Octopus!

You and Sophia had matching outfits and you looked absolutely ADORABLE!!

We love you baby girl and have so much fun taking you places!

My lifesavers!

I just entered this contest and I hope I win! Having carriers with Mackenzie has been a Godsend. I can't imagine what my life would be like without one!
Win the Essential Babywearing Stash from Along for the Ride (one Beco Butterfly, one Hotsling baby pouch, one BabyHawk Mei Tai, one Zolowear Ring Sling, and one Gypsy Mama Wrap)
Wish us luck! Having a few more would just make our lives that much easier :)

Auntie Jeamie & Cousin Sophie

Aunt Jeanmarie and Cousin Sophia flew in Friday night just to meet you. You should feel special. They've been very excited about this trip! You adore your cousin so much. Sophie sits next to you in the car, holds your hand, puts your pacifier back in your mouth when you spit it out (which is often!), and plays with you whenever you're fussy. What more could a girl ask for?!?

You have a few matching outfits and it's been so fun to watch you wear them. So far my favorite is the Hawaiian one from Auntie Jeamie. I made you guys matching bows and they looked so cute!
The best part of the trip has been that you guys get to go swimming a lot! I've been taking you to Grandma & Grandpa's pool. We've gone almost every day this week. Sophie is trying to learn to swim, so you just sit and watch her practice. One day you'll be big enough to swim also. Grandpa can't wait for that day to come :)
