A night of parties...

After pumpkin carving we had to go to another party. This one was a costume party at your Mimi's boss' house. Sonya and Matt live in McKinney, so we went by there on our way home. You were so tired, but you were a good sport (for a little bit...haha!).

We got you ready for the party at Dana's house. Here you are playing with Aunti Nea Nea.

I guess you needed to Christen your costume eventually (look close and you'll notice the drool trail)...

You and your Mimi. You weren't too sure what to think of her costume. You settled down pretty fast though :)

The minute we got you in the car you passed out. You were so tired and we felt so bad for keeping you out late. You got to bed 2 hours late which just isn't an option for you. You woke up an hour early today because you don't seem to sleep longer when your schedule is messed with - you sleep less!! So you lost 3 hours of sleep yesterday :( Thankfully you're resting peacefully right now and I got you down about an hour and a 1/2 early tonight. We'll see if we can make up some of that time you missed out on last night :)

Your first pumpkin carving party!

Last night was your first pumpkin carving party! You'll have many more of these parties as you grow up! It was fun to start this tradition with you.

The week before Halloween we go to the Habrat's house and carve pumpkins, eat chili, and wear flannel (Don't ask me, you'll have to ask your "Uncle" George about that one...). I couldn't find you anything flannel for you to wear unless it was for a boy and that just wasn't going to work for me! I made you a little skull flannel skirt. I didn't really like how it turned out, but it was cute enough to wear for this :)

You made yourself comfy on the table while everyone prepared to carve their pumpkins!

Sophie cleaning out her pumpkin. Her Daddy asked her if she wanted a happy or mean pumpkin. She wanted a sad pumpkin which stumped him...haha!

This year Michelle, Jeff, Payton, and Jaxson joined in on the fun! You and Jax played together and it was so cute - which I didn't get any pictures of :( Payton had fun carving pumpkins and her and Sophie played together. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to things with you in about 3 years...haha! Two girls under the age of 4 are VERY loud!

Your 1st Halloween party

We went to your first Halloween party today. You had a lot of fun hanging out with E and Mosely as usual!

Your costume if finally finished and your ready for Halloween! Now all we have to hope for is that it's a nice night, so you won't be too cold ;)

All in all I'm pleased with how it turned out. Your pettiskirt gave me a problem, but I think it ended up looking ok! Who knows how many more costumes I'll make for you, but at least I can say I made you one! haha!

You're 7 months old!

Wow! Where has the time gone?!?!? Happy birthday sweet girl!

I need to get a picture of you with your dolly, but today wasn't the day. You're soooo constipated (from the carrots I assume) and you've been miserable all day long :( Right now you're asleep in your crib, so hopefully that will last for a little bit. I'll update this soon with your latest growth picture :)

Hook 'em Horns!

We spent our first day away from you. I wasn't sure how it would work out since you don't like to take bottles from anyone but me. Thankfully last weekend you took a bottle from Grandpa with no problem at all! Problem solved...Grandpa to the rescue :) Him and Grandma said they were more then willing to watch you. I'm not sure they realized just how long they'd be with you though... haha! By the time we got home they had been with you for 9 hrs!!!

We got our tickets from Coach McWhorter and we are oh so gracious for them! They were absolutely wonderful and we were so excited to be there!!! Of course Texas won!! 45 - 35!!

You were absolutely obsessed with Daddy's hat when we got home. You kept trying to suck on the bill. You were cracking us up so much! I guess you wanted to feel close to the greatness :)

My little sewing project...

I haven't been able to find cute navy and yellow clothes for you to wear to Lauren's games, so I decided to make a skirt for you. I had no idea how it would turn out since the only skirt I've ever made for you is your poodle skirt. I decided to make it sort of the same way since that looked cute on you. I had planned on putting yellow rickrack on it, but now I'm not sure. I have to think about it a little. There doesn't seem to be a good place to put it now that I have the skirt made. I'm also thinking about making an M applique for your onesie with the same polka dot material and yellow stitching. It will have a dual meaning since it's your initial and it would stand for Lauren's school.

When you came in to the gym the girls were sitting in the bleachers waiting for their game to start. They thought your skirt was so darn cute. They love it when you're dressed in their colors (which I try and do even though I can't find exactly what I want!)...

Texas State Fair

You had your first trip to the Texas State Fair! It's a family tradition for your Daddy's family, so your Mimi was very excited for you to join them this year!

You did the usual things with your Mimi. She does these things every year, in the same order, and this year was no exception - except she got to do it with the newest addition to the family :)

First you went on the Carousel....



Then you went and picked out a ducky...



After that it was time to go to Daddy's favorite thing at the fair... the car exhibit. You fell asleep in your carrier on the way over there though, so you slept through it all. My back started to hurt, so I took you off and put you in your stroller :)


We walked around a bit, ate lunch, Daddy & Mimi ate some weird fried foods, and then we headed home!

Your new bathtub...

Your Dad bought you this tub months before you were born! He's been counting the months until it was time for you to use it. It said 6 months and up and the minute you turned 6 months old he started asking me to use it. You were not good at sitting up on your own though, so I kept saying no. I finally gave in a few days ago and agreed to blow it up. You thought it was pretty cool when we put you in it on the bed and you kept playing with the drain :)

Then it was time to put it in the tub and fill it up. You enjoyed lounging in it... hee hee!


I think you would have preferred some privacy, but what fun would that be?!? (Notice all the carrots all over your face! MESSY GIRL!)

Go MHS!

You know the drill by now... You've become very familiar with volleyball and everything that comes with it. Everything but the mascots! They're not normally at the volleyball game, so that was a nice treat. You kept looking at them, so I decided to let you go see them. They wanted to hold you, so I passed you over. All was well when you were with the boy (figures!), but you wouldn't look at me so I could get a picture. Stinker!



But then the girl showed up and you either didn't want her stealing your man or having the 2 of them together was just too much for you to handle...haha!


And of course...your 2 favorite girls. Lauren & Rachel....

We moved on to carrots since the Sweet Potatoes gave you a reaction. You really like them and go crazy when you see them! So crazy that we have to take all your clothes off to feed you because you seem to want to bathe in them!!! Crazy kid!!!

Once we knew carrots were safe (other then the fact that they seem to constipate you..haha!) we moved on to avocados. Lets just say... YOU WEREN'T A FAN!

You liked the idea of them ;)


Until I put them in your mouth. The face you made had me and your Daddy almost on the ground laughing! You would think we just put dog poop in your mouth!!!


Then I went and mashed them up hoping you'd let me feed you with a spoon. Nope! You didn't like that an idea either. BUT...you loved playing with them!

It's soccer time...

I always wonder what you're going to be like when you start soccer. Your Grandfather was a professional soccer player, so I wonder if you'll be good. It runs in your blood, so we'll see. I was good, but I hated running around for that long...haha! I liked softball, volleyball, cheerleading, and dancing better. Because there were so many other activities I didn't miss soccer. I think it broke your Grandfather's heart though. He'd probably love to watch you play soccer from up above. It would make him proud!

So...back to the pictures :) We finally made it to one of Julian's soccer games! Of course it was right at your nap time, so you slept through most of the game!
