A day in the life of a 2 yr old!

Where on earth has the time gone? How is it possible that you're 2 years old?!?! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was on bed rest trying to get you into this world safe and sound!

Because your birthday fell on a Friday we decided to have a playdate on your birthday even though you were having a birthday party the next day. We invited all of your friends to come spend the day with us at the Dallas Arboretum! It was great to spend the day with everyone :) You and your friends had a ton of fun! It warms my heart to see you so happy!!!!

Attack of the 2 year olds!

We decided to have one big birthday party at school for all of you kiddos since the majority of you all turn 2 within two weeks of each other. I invited your Nannie to join us and we had such a good time. You guys are such characters and you have so much fun when the attention is focused on you!

Little Ms. Leighton (or should I say Wendy...haha) created a great little Candyland for all of her friends to come and enjoy ;) You had a great day playing with your friends! I'm so thankful you have such wonderful friends in your life. I hope that remains the same as you grow older!!

Your Nannie and Papa got you a swing set for your birthday. They bought it early, so your Daddy could have it put together in time for your big birthday party!! Well... your Daddy opened up the box and got to work. You weren't quite sure what was going on and you wanted to be out there every time he was working on it. Once he had some major pieces put together he actually let you "help" him :) You thought you were just too cool for words.

We decided to get together for dinner and celebrate yours and Julian's birthday (and lets be nice...your Daddy's also! haha!). We thought it would be nice to spend time and actually get to talk to them then have them be one of 50 at your birthday party ;) You had a good time as usual. School registration is upon us. There are only so many spots at your school for the Tuesday/Thursday class. Me & Wendy wanted to make sure you and Leighton got in, so we decided to camp out. We packed up our chairs, blankets, jackets, and most definitely coffee and headed over to school. We were looking forward to a night of chatting and hanging out with the other girls. Aina came up a few hours later and joined us and we really had a good time. Your Dad thought I was crazy, but oh well. It's a great school and it was worth it!

Tonight I went out with Michelle to see a play our friend is directing. Daddy and I talked about him taking you out on a "Daddy date" since I would be out for the night. So...I got you dressed and you guys headed out...

First stop... Chipotle! Or "chip-o-tay" as you call it ;) Daddy said you were such a good and ate all of your food!

Then he took you to Toy-R-Us! I'm not sure who was more excited at the idea of going there...you or your Dad. He said you walked in the store and said "Lets go Daddy!"
