A day at the museum...

Valerie and Mosely took us to the museum!

After a couple of tries you mastered the stairs. I was so proud of you!

What were we thinking???

A bunch of us decided to go to the zoo last week. Someone checked the weather and said it was supposed to be in the mid 50's. That shouldn't be too bad, so I said yes. Little did I know that it would never make it out of the 30's. Unfortunately once we figured that out it was too late to do anything :( Lisa and I decided to take you girls on the train since it drops you off right at the zoo. It took an hour to get down there and there was no way you or E was going to tolerate another hour ride back after just getting you off. So...we decided to suck it up and go to the zoo! We bundled you guys up, so I think you were perfectly fine. Your Mom on the other hand was freezing to her core! I didn't have a jacket, hat, or gloves.

As usual there are no pictures of me and you! UGH! I have to get better about asking people to take pictures of us!!!

On the train :)

Having fun in the double stroller. Look at the static in your hair! Me & Lisa were laughing so hard!!

Once we got to the zoo we had a picnic out front. Yes...us Mama's froze our little butts off. I'm not sure you or E even noticed it was cold though. Crazy girls!

I didn't take any pictures of the animals while we were in the zoo because I was just way too cold. Lisa loves flamingos though, so we stopped to take one of them on our way out. Notice that E can't take her eyes off of the flamingos! haha!

A great way to spend your "birthday"

I don't know what else to call the day. I know it's not a big birthday, but it seems like every month is a big deal at this age :)

We met up with Michelle, Payton, and Jaxson on your birthday. Michelle wanted to borrow some stuff for Payton's birthday pictures. While we were there we decided to get a few pictures of you and the kids! They turned out great! I'm so glad we did it :)

You weren't so sure about Jax touching you (Daddy says "that's my girl!). We have quite a few funny ones of him trying to get you close enough, so he could kiss you! haha!

Jax doesn't like it when you play hard to get! LOL!

Give me your face please, Mackenzie!

I can't believe you're 10 month's old!

Seriously! Where has the time gone. I thank my lucky stars every day that I'm still at home with you. The original plan was to go back to work after 3 months. It was a blessing that they laid off so many people in my department while I was on maternity leave with you. We made the decision at that time that I would stay home until you were 6 month's old. Because of all your allergy issues and the turn for the worse you took at 6 months we decided I would not go back to work until you were 1. So...now that this 10 month mark is here it's a little scary. It seems like just yesterday the doctor was telling us it was time for you to grace us with your presence.

It's been an interesting 10 months with you, but I wouldn't change it for the world! We love you dearly and I'm so glad I'm home with you to watch you grow and develop!

I'll get some pictures uploaded soon. I took a few today, but I'm waiting on some from Michelle also. I'm sure hers will look much better then mine since she's a professional! haha!

Georgie peorgie...

Every morning you hang out with Curious George after you wake up. We sit in the guest bedroom and play for a couple of hours until Daddy wakes up. You were so exhausted for some reason that you just finally laid down with him and looked like you were about to fall asleep. You looked so cute and sleepy that I couldn't resist taking a picture. I hate that my camera never seems to be with me when I want it!

Lucien came to visit you!

Lucien had an appointment with his specialist, so they flew in for the day and stayed with us. It was nice to see them again! You have so much fun playing with him :)

I'm not sure what you guys are looking at here. Tex is probably out of the picture or something. You 2 are obsessed with him!

Mackenzie 002 by you.

After his appointment we went to the mall to let you kids play. Jackson and Desiree met us there, but of course Jackson isn't in any of the pictures. He's way too cool to play with babies. He was off playing with the cars...haha! I left my camera at home, so I had to take these with my phone :(

Could you guys be any cuter??? Look at those faces!!!
Having a blast! by you.

Whew! Playing is hard work!

You thought this was so much fun!

It was so funny to watch you try and crawl on the plate of food. You had tights on couldn't seem to get any traction ;)

Go Texas!!!

I wasn't able to get a great shot of you wearing your Texas Santa hat. Mommy was in a hurry because she had to pick up Carole Anne & Lucien from the airport. It was very important that you wear the hat though. Our Longhorns needed all the support they could get and you were just the right one to give it to them!

Texas won! Whoo hoo!!!

It needed a good cleaning...

Auntie Nea Nea has had this highchair since Brandon was born. Lets see...that puts it around 21 yrs old. She's moving soon, so when we were packing up the garage we found it. It was covered in dirt and dried on crusty food. It hasn't been used in 13 yrs since Lauren was a little one. I got out the cleaning products and went to work. We weren't sure we'd be able to clean it all up, but Auntie really wanted to keep it (she's sentimental that way). Sure enough we got everything off and it looks great again! It's so nice to have a chair at her house that you can go in!

Here you are testing it out...

What's up party people???

Your face cracks me up in this picture!

Happy New Years sweet girl!

We seriously thought about letting you stay up to ring in the new year with us. Then reality set in and I realized that was a bad idea. If I let you stay up you would be screaming bloody murder by the time the clock struck 12! So off to bed you went at 7 as usual.

At midnight me and your Dad sat on the couch and watched the ball drop (of course they were just repeating it since we're an hour behind NY! haha!) and I looked at him and said we should go wake you up and tell you Happy New Years! He said ok and I just laughed. I knew that would be really stupid to do, but I wanted to soooo bad. Just a few minutes later you woke up and started crying. We both started laughing, got up from the couch, and went to your room. We were so happy you woke up! You must have known we wanted to give you kisses!!

The next day we got up and went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for our annual cabbage roll dinner. You weren't quite sure what to think of the hat and noise maker that they got you.

Hmmm...why am I wearing this hat?!?
Mackenzie 062 by you.

Hey Mom, help me! I can't make these things work!!!

Hey Grandpa! What's up? Why does Mom keep calling my name????

They're still blue...

The family keeps asking me if your eyes are blue. So far, so good! I'm not sure if they're going to stick around, but I'm thinking they might. You're 10 months old tomorrow and they're still blue. I think we've passed the time where they normally change.

We LOVE the fact that your eyes are blue. I'm glad your Grandma has blue eyes and that she probably passed them down to you. I never thought you'd have anything but brown hair and brown eyes because of me. It was a nice surprise to see those gorgeous blue eyes!

Mackenzie 017 by you.

Punk!

I'm not sure you could be any cuter! I've been waiting for your hair to be long enough to give you a Mohawk - or as your Dad would say Faux Hawk. It totally fits your personality and I just LOVE it! I might just have to put your hair like this every day :)

You just love this new bath toy from Sophie & Ben. Well...you love it unless you mess up and somehow fill it with water and then squirt it into your mouth! haha!
Mackenzie 022 by you.

This one's for Auntie Brandy

She bought you this outfit and I just absolutely adore it! I know she's bummed that she doesn't get to see you often, so I wanted to post these pictures for her :)

Mackenzie 010 by you.

You look like you're practicing your cheerleading moves here. I'm sure your Daddy's not too happy about that! haha!
Mackenzie 008 by you.

And here's some jewelry you got from Grandma and Grandpa. They bought it for you at an antique shop in NY before you were born. They finally fit you!

Throwing up sucks!

A couple of days after Christmas we went to lunch with Blythe and her Mom at Northpark. We had a great afternoon of good food and shopping and eventually we made our way back home. It was time for you to have dinner, so I put you in your highchair and tried to give you some carrots. You have not had carrots since you were somewhere between 5 and 6 mo's old. They didn't work so great the first time, but the doctor said we needed to try everything again. This time they needed to be homemade. So...I started giving you carrots and you weren't really wanting them. I got some down you though which was nice. I knew you were going to be hungry if you didn't eat something. We were about a 1/4 of the way through and you threw up ALL OVER! I've never seen so much throw up come out of a child. It just kept coming and coming. You were covered in it. I was covered in it. Your highchair was covered in it. The floor was covered. It was absolutely DISGUSTING! I took all of your clothes off of you and put you in your playroom, so I could clean up the mess.

I told your Dad to take some pictures of you because you looked so cute. I really don't ever let you run around naked, so there aren't a lot of naked pictures of you. Well, I guess you're not really naked. You have a diaper on :)

Can you tell we had fun at the mall?!?

I'm sooo far behind!

It's been forever since I've blogged, so I'll try and play catch up the next few days. I have to be better about staying on top of this blog! You don't have a scrapbook yet (I swear I will make one! I swear, I swear, I swear I will :)!), so this is all you've got! haha!
