Mama is headed back to work!

This blog post will be totally out of place once I get caught up, but these thoughts were on my mind and I wanted to put them in "writing".

Tomorrow I start a new job and I'm nervous. Not nervous about being at work and if I'm capable of doing the job, but nervous about leaving you. I know, I know, everyone keeps telling me I went to work last year and you survived. It wasn't the same though. I was teaching at the same school you were going to. I saw you multiple times a day. I was in the same building if you needed something or if your teachers needed me. I could walk in your room during my break if I chose to. My mind knows that you'll do just fine, but my heart is hurting. I don't want you to ever feel like you weren't enough. That I didn't want to be with you. That I'd rather make money than be closer to you. Those are the thoughts running through my mind. I know a lot of it has to do with how I felt about Nannie working, but I won't be like that. I promise to remember that you're my priority and not my job. When you have an event I will make sure to leave work and be there on time ;) If you get older and read this and I'm letting my job run the show then just pull this blog post back up and make me read it! haha!


I'm so glad you're at a school where you already had friends. That makes me feel so much better. I at least know that no matter what happens through the day that you, Ben, and Gavin are all there for each other. You adore those boys and I know the feelings are mutual. That makes me so happy :)

Carole Anne and Lucien came in to town for a visit, so we planned a playdate at the park. It was a gorgeous day and we all had a blast!

You think you're hot stuff. You're all about being potty trained right now. I'm trying to remind you that you just turned 2 and to not get all crazy on me. Then reality hits and I realize you being potty trained means less work for me ;) So...potty train away kiddo!

Blue Bonnets 2010

It's that time again for your annual Blue Bonnet pictures with Chera. She's been doing these yearly pictures of you since you were born. I'll never forget you being a few weeks old shivering like crazy because the weather made a crazy change while we were out taking these pictures. All of a sudden your skin turned this funky bluish purple color. She took her last shot and Papa scooped you up in a blanket and held you so tight to try and warm you up. Three years later the weather is still doing funky things when we take BB pictures. It was super windy this day and you wanted nothing to do with the pictures. As you can see...I'm in all of them ;)

Easter with the family

We spent the afternoon over at Nana & Papa's house. Nana just loves Easter. She loves to have the kids over, she loves to make Easter baskets for you all. Her and the Easter Bunny have fun hiding eggs for you guys to find in the yard. I would say Easter and Christmas are probably 2 of her favorite holidays. So...we got you dolled up and headed over to Nana & Papa's :)

Easter 2010

This year you were old enough to actually realize what an easter egg hunt was all about. The Easter Bunny came and left you eggs and presents to hunt for. You were so excited when you woke up. You were running all around the house looking for your "presents".

Later on we'll head over to Nana & Papa's house for our family Easter gathering and another Easter egg hunt. Thankfully the Easter Bunny knows all the places you go on Easter, so he can get to all the houses :)

Today we went to Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Nordstrom with Wendy, Leighton, Landen, Elizabeth, and Kendall! We had a great morning with our friends and it was nice to see you all having so much fun ;)
