Happy Birthday Jack!

We went to Owen's Spring Creek Farm to celebrate Jack's 1st Birthday!

It was hot as heck (and rained a little), but we survived :)

Daddy getting gored by a Longhorn! We all got a good laugh out of that. All Daddy wanted to do was pet his head and I guess he didn't like that...haha!

Girls night!

WOW! Did you have an absolute blast. I think you were in kiddie heaven! I picked up Lauren, Allie, & Rachel after school so they could come over and spend the night. You lit up the minute they got in the car. Man! Do you love those girls! And...what's even better is they all adore you!!!
They played and played with you all night long. You refused to take a nap because there was no way you were going to miss out on one minute with those girls! haha!

Finally around 10 PM I told the girls they had to say goodnight to you because you just HAD to go to sleep. They all gave you a bunch of love and then we headed off to bed.

This morning they woke up and couldn't wait to get their hands on you again. I wish they would all just move in and then Mommy would have some help with you!! haha!!!

Your Mama's head is spinning!

We hit a slope with you and you've reverted back to the fussy baby you were a few months ago when we didn't know you were allergic to milk or soy. I'm lucky if you sleep 2 - 2 1/2 hours at a time. Some nights I'm doing good if you sleep an hour. You wake me up with your cries of pain. It breaks my heart to hear you cry out like that. I try and give you Mylicon, rock you, feed you...anything to calm your cries. Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. I just hold you in hopes you at least know I'm there for you You've had blood in your stools the last 2 days, so we're watching that closely. So far it hasn't gotten worse and you're still not running a fever. That's a good sign.

We saw your allergist today and we're wondering if you've become allergic to additional items. Unfortunately we can not do the typical food allergy blood test because that test for anitbodies and you're allergic to the proteins. He called it Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES).

I'm going to take wheat and eggs out of my diet and see if you improve. If not, we know it's not that. If so, then we need to figure out if you're allergic to both or just one of them. So...I've got some work ahead of me. It will be challenging to figure out what I can now eat. There's not much left once I take out dairy, soy, wheat, & eggs! It's all worth it though if you feel better!

Girl...you are too much for me!

You seriously crack us up every single day! If it's not one thing - it's another :)

This is how your Daddy found you when he went to check on you the other night. Thankfully he was smart enough to go grab a camera. Otherwise I might not have believed him...haha! I have no idea why you were laying like this (especially since you went to sleep on your belly), but it was funny as heck! It looks like you're just hanging out relaxing :)

NOW...if only you could find a way to get comfy enough to sleep for longer then 3 hrs at a time!

You're such a big girl!

We just got home from your doctors appointment. You had to get 2 vaccines today (DTAP & Rotavirus), so while we were there I had them weigh you. You're a whopping 16 lbs 5.5 oz!! My Lord girl...you just don't stop growing!

Here's a picture of you in the waiting room.

You did it!

YOU ROLLED OVER!!! Yipppeee!!!

You rolled over from back to front once before the first week of July, but you haven't done it again since that day. Your doctor told me you should be rolling and that I needed to help you. You didn't want help. It just irritated you! So we decided you would do it when you were good and ready. Well...you did :) Mommy and Daddy were both there and we were so proud of you!

Here are the pictures! I tried to catch as many as possible!! Now I have to be careful where I lay you! I don't want to be posting on here about how you rolled off of something...haha!

Here's a new little program I'm trying out. I figured these were good pictures to start off with :)

You finally met your Uncle Don!

Well...it's been a long time coming! Your Uncle Don and his girlfriend Lana came to town this weekend to hang out with us. I think he's pretty bored with you being a baby and wants you to be old enough to interact with him...haha! You liked Lana and held her finger a lot when we were out about in the car. She has kiddos herself, so she knew just how to handle you :)

A day at the mall...

I know, I know...we spend too much time at the mall! haha! You love it though (and so do I). Today we met some of your "Aunties" there along with the kids. One day you'll be big enough to run around with Ian & Xander and I can't wait. It's going to be so darn cute!!

Hanging out in Auntie Courtney's glasses. We couldn't stop laughing!!

Ian sliding down the wall...

This picture makes me laugh every time I look at it. It's as if you're saying, "OMG Mom! Can you believe this email?!?"

Welcome Baby Ben...

We spent the afternoon yesterday with Baby Ben (along with Dana, Sophie, & George).

Bejamin Robert Habrat - Born 8/7/08 at 1:02 PM. He was 7 lbs 3.5 oz & 20 inches long.

He's an absolute doll and I can't wait for him to be big enough to play with you!!

Welcome to the world sweetie!

You and Sophie hanging out. You just LOVE her!

Happy Anniversary Grandma & Grandpa!

Grandma & Grandpa had their 14th anniversary Friday night. We all went over to celebrate along with their friends. We had a great time and as usual you were the center of attention. Didn't you understand?!? This was supposed to be about your Grandma & Grandpa...haha!

Your family: Me, you, Aunt Renee, Uncle Jeff, Grandma, Grandpa, Jeffrey, Lauren, & Dylan

My first night away from you...

This isn't really about you, but I felt it was worthy of noting...haha!

I finally left your side. You were a few days shy of 5 months and I got a couple of hours to myself. My Mom's group was having a Mother's Night Out at the Cheesecake Factory and I decided to go. You were allowed to go since you're still nursing, but I decided a night at home with your Daddy would be good for both of you.

So I got myself ready and headed out. I was definitely worried about leaving you behind, but knew I would have to do it someday. YOU LIVED :) You cried a lot for Daddy when it was time to go to bed, but you lived!

Who would have known?!?

1) Who would have known that I would give you rice cereal? Especially a week before you turned 5 months old! I've never been a fan of it. I think it's just a filler and I wasn't on board with feeding it to you. On your 4 month check-up Dr. G said I could start giving it to you and I said "no thanks". He told me to at least try before he saw you again for your 6 month check-up. I told him I would think about it...haha! I told your Dad and he didn't understand why I wouldn't give it to you. You're a growing girl and you need to learn to eat eventually. Then I started asking around and it seemed like more and more people were telling me to try it. Maybe it would help you sleep longer then 2-3 hours at a time at night. That was the clincher! Something that might actually get me 4 hours of sleep IN A ROW!

2) Who would have known that you were a crazy ravenous child when it comes to eating?
Man oh man did you just LOVE this stuff. It was like you knew exactly what to do. You saw the spoon coming and you opened your mouth. When you didn't want a bite you turned your head away. When I wasn't coming back with the spoon fast enough you screamed!

So...here's your first rice cereal feeding (don't worry...Mommy got you organic rice cereal...haha)

Yummmy!

Daddy, lookie what I got :)

I have to hold on to my toys or I might jump out of my chair! I love this stuff!

Happy Birthday Dylan!

We celebrated Dylan's 16th birthday last week! I still can't believe he's 16 yrs old - I changed his diapers!! UGH!! I'm getting old!

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Playing with your cousins & Auntie! They had you laughing so much. It was so darn cute!

Jeffrey just loved you to death and he loved to play with you. It's too bad that he had to go back to Cali. Him and Lauren would have been great babysitters :)

Hanging out with your cousins after Dylan finished opening his presents. One day you'll be big like all of them (grow up slowly though...PLEASE!)

Oh so fun...

I thought you might be too young for this bouncer, but Daddy put it together while we were in Cali anyways. It was sitting in your playroom looking all cute, so I decided to put you in it. You enjoy the noise it makes and you really like it when I bounce you in it (I can't wait until you can bounce yourself...haha!).

Happy bouncing kiddo...
