On the food front...

I've been working hard the last few weeks to introduce new foods to you. We got the green light from your Gastro to try food again, so I jumped in (slowly...haha)! We had very bad luck when we introduced foods the first time due to all of your allergies. Dr. An said to try introducing organic homemade foods only. So far so good. You can have black beans, bananas, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, summer squash, and peaches (you've only had them in whole form in the mesh feeder so you're not getting much of the actual fruit). You've had a small amount of Quinoa, but you're not a huge fan of it. Last night I have you carrots and you threw up, but I don't know if it was because of the carrots or if it was because I was trying to "fight" you to eat them. You were being quite the stubborn kiddo last night!!

Your cousin Sophia loved these mesh feeders, so I made sure to get you some before you were born (I know...I'm a dork!). I was finally able to give them a try. Whoo hoo! I loaded it up with peaches and handed it over to you. I wasn't sure you would take it because you aren't too fond of texture. The mesh didn't seem to bother you though. You went to town on that thing. I totally forgot how messy these things are. You were covered in peach juice!! You absolutely loved it though, so it was worth it :)

I've been trying to get you to hold your sippy cup. You want nothing to do with it though. I decided to put the handle of your sippy cup on your bottle and try and entice you with that. You try and put it to your mouth, but you can't seem to figure out how to tilt your head back and hold the cup up. I decided to stick your Boppy behind you and see if that would help any. It worked GREAT! You tilted the bottle back and drank the entire thing!!! It was so nice to get a slight break. I sat there and watched because I didn't want to leave the room and take the chance that you would choke. BUT...at least I wasn't having to hold the bottle :)

You and Emmawyn are so darn cute with each other! I just absolutely love it! I'm so glad you're friends and I hope you stay close as you grow older!!

Can I have this please?

Update on your teeth...

I finally was able to get a picture of your teeth! If you look close you can see that the one on the bottom right has broke the surface also. I think you're working on the top ones now. Lucky me! haha!

Thank you Grandpa for holding her mouth open, so I could get this shot ;)

Teeth...

I wonder how long it will take for all of your teeth to come in?? Your first tooth broke the gum line on Monday. I was trying to get something out of your mouth and you bit down. Normally this wouldn't phase me, but this time it did. I got bit by a sharp little razor edged tooth! I screamed OUCH and Carole Anne & Lisa looked at me like I was crazy. I opened your mouth to figure out where that tooth was. There it sat staring at me on the bottom row :)

You've had the teething symptoms since you were about 2 or 3 mo's old. We really really thought they were coming a long time ago, but nothing ever happened. I finally decided they just weren't coming in! haha! Lisa told me 2 weeks ago that one would be here soon because you were acting like you had a cold. You were so fussy and congested that it was unreal. Nothing else seemed to be wrong though. I wrote it off as a cold and went on. Well...Lisa was right. Your first tooth finally made an appearance. It looks like the one right next to it is on it's way in also.

So, I'm wondering...will the fussiness continue until the last one comes in? If so, I might need to take up drinking ;)

Your first fall...

I totally forgot to mention this last week and figured I shouldn't let it go unnoticed...haha!

You fell off the bed last Tuesday. I know, I know...I'm a bad Mom! At least that's what your Dad tells me. He couldn't believe I LET you fall off the bed! Yes, I stood right there and watched you fall off. I thought it would be funny to see your tiny little body smack into the hard wood floors face first! Silly man!

We were playing on the bed in the spare bedroom since it was really early in the morning and I didn't want to wake your Dad up. I needed to get up and start getting ready for our playdate. I stood up to put my slippers on (which were less then 2 ft away from the bed) and before I could even make it to my slippers I heard this loud thump. I looked up wondering what that was and then realized the noise came from behind me. I whipped around and there you were face down on the floor, in this weird sort of froggy position, screaming your ass off :( I picked you up really fast and tried to calm you down. You did not appear to be hurt. No goose egg was forming. No blood. Whew! I tried to put an icepack on your forehead just in case and you were having nothing to do with that! You calmed down within a couple of minutes and all was well with the world. Or...so I thought! I was on the phone with your Grandma telling her what happened and my arm started to hurt because I had been holding you in that arm for a good 20 minutes by now. I set you down and you just absolutely lost it. You screamed and screamed like someone was poking your eyes out. You woke your Dad up who was on the other side of the house. He came running in to find out was wrong and when I told him he scooped you out of my arms like I was endangering your life. It gave me a good laugh! That just made matters worse because when you're upset you want your Mommy! Daddy wasn't budging though. I was a bad Mommy and he needed to save you from me...haha! He was adamant about calming you down himself, so he wouldn't let me take you back from him. Eventually you calmed down and we went on with our day. You were a perfect little angel all day long and you would have never guessed that you fell off a bed that morning!

I told so many of my Mom friends to add me to the Worst Mom of the Year list and they all just laughed. They all said it wouldn't be the last time you fell off the bed, so to get over it now. I'm not sure that made me feel any better though. I certainly don't want to see that image ever again!

We're thinking about you...

We're thinking about you little man!! I know your surgery is going to go well tomorrow and in no time at all you're going to be giggling like nothing ever happened. I'm sorry that you have to go through this, but it will all be over soon. You are such a little trooper and I'm so glad you're a part of our lives!

We love you!!

The little monkeys had a photo shoot...

On Sunday we all headed over to Carrollton for a photo shoot with Chera. You and your little buddies were so adorably dressed and I couldn't wait to see how the pictures would turn out. I wondered where on earth we were going to put 3 babies and get a descent shot of them! Luc & E are crawling and you're in that lunging phase. I figured if anything else the pictures would be entertaining. Well you kiddos must have known that your Mommy's wanted this picture. You all behaved like little angels. We set you on a bench and you all just sat there! PERFECTLY! No one tried to crawl off, fall off, lunge off...nothing! Within about a minute Chera said "OK! I got it. We're done!" We all just looked at her like she was crazy. How did she already have the perfect picture?!? Well...she did!! We've only seen a few of them so far, but here they are.

After Chera was done with you guys I wanted to take a few pictures myself. I knew mine wouldn't look near as good as hers, but it's still fun to take them!

Here are a few of my favorites!

You stay right there E! We've got this under control!
